As an HVAC Master Technician, you are expected to be an expert in comprehensive HVAC solutions. This highly skilled and experienced professional role requires you to independently manage complex HVAC service, repair, and installation projects.
You will also serve as a valuable resource for less experienced technicians, demonstrating advanced diagnostic abilities and delivering superior workmanship. A deep understanding of HVAC systems, relevant codes, and industry best practices is crucial for this position.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- HVAC Expertise & Technical Proficiency
- Advanced Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve complex HVAC issues in residential and commercial settings, performing advanced repairs such as compressor and heat exchanger replacements, and intricate system adjustments.
- System Installation & Maintenance: Install and maintain various furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems. Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical components.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to local, provincial/state, and national HVAC codes and safety regulations.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Accurately interpret blueprints and specifications for complex installations.
- Client Interaction & Mentorship
- Client Communication: Effectively explain technical issues and solutions to clients.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to Junior Technicians and Apprentices.
- Service Recommendation: Identify and recommend potential upgrades or additional services to clients.
- Documentation & Workplace Management
- Accurate Documentation: Document all work performed, including materials used and time spent.
- Work Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
